Adding a popular posts plugin to your site is a great way to encourage your readers to stay longer. You can set the widget to display at the end of every post, giving your reader a selection of related posts to read next. nRelate is one of the popular ones and I’ve recently added it to this site.
With nRelate, you also get the option to register for their partner program, for free. You can set up the widget to display advertisements from companies with products related to your content. You then receive commission from any sales generated. If you want to monetise your blog, then this is an option worth considering.
You can use the nRelate widget without signing up for their program, all you need to do is install the plugin.
Then select which type of widget you prefer, the one that says “popular posts” or “you might also like”.
Click the one you prefer and then choose the platform you want to add it to. WordPress, Blogger or Tumblr.
Then all you need to do is follow the instructions to download the plugin and install it on your site. Once added, you can find the plugin settings in your WP dashboard and set the display options you want. The widget should appear after a couple of hours.
